During this period of partial closure this school site continues to be open for provision for vulnerable pupils and children of key workers. Irrespective of any partial closure or collaboration with another school, the safeguarding of all our children remains our top priority. At this time, our school will continue as normal in supporting our vulnerable children and if anyone has any questions regarding this they are asked to make contact with the school office email: or phone 01903 235386. Please contact the school if you have any queries.
OFSTED 2019 We made the 'Worthing Herald' to celebrate our OFSTED success!
We are so proud of our school!
A very warm welcome to Thomas A'Becket Infant School.
Children at Thomas A’Becket Infant School are enthusiastic, confident learners who are supported to develop independence and resilience.
Young children foster a love of learning when they are interested and motivated to learn. We plan creative and immersive cross-curricular experiences which engage deeper thinking skills that are memorable, purposeful and imaginative for ALL children.
Not all learning happens in the classroom and children truly value their outdoor forest school learning environment. Forest school
provides a natural space for children to learn some practical life skills and develop collaborative working partnerships with others.
The activities planned and implemented in forest school have direct links to our classroom topics and provide many and varied opportunities to explore specific areas.
Our School Values are embedded throughout the curriculum.
The children understand that these values promote a ‘Safe and Happy’ school. This helps develop a sense of wellbeing within our learning walls so children feel safe to take healthy risks and 'REACH for the Stars'. Our School Values are linked to both our behaviour system and planning.
Our school promotes understanding of emotional literacy, so when children move on they already have a disposition of responsibility and a richer understanding of emotion.
Emotional literacy supports self regulation and encourages a deeper sense of belonging. Children will develop into positive members of our school and in turn valuable members of our wider community.
Please come and visit Thomas A'Becket Infant School. We would be delighted to show you around!
